Essay Competition on
Bangabandhu

In honor of the centennial year of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, North South University with the aid of Department of English and Modern Languages is organizing a nationwide essay competition to celebrate his legacy. The objective of the competition is to encourage the participants to demonstrate their creativity and writing skills. The competition will help the participants to challenge themselves to write an original essay with well-presented ideas and will also prompt them to learn more about our Father of the Nation.

Topic: Impromptu but will be based on Bangabandhu
Eligibility:
  1. HS- Higher Secondary (A-Level Students of English Medium/ 11th and 12th Grade students of Bengali Medium/English Version or equivalent)
  2. T- Tertiary (Undergraduate students from different universities in Bangladesh)
Essay Criteria
  1. Word Limit – 1200 words max.
  2. Language – English or Bangla (Student must choose the language of their essay during registration)
Evaluation Criteria
  1. Grammar, Spelling & Punctuation
  2. Use of Vocabulary
  3. Organization and Flow
  4. Content/Information
Prizes:
  1. Winners will receive prizes worth a total of over 7 lac BDT
  2. 50 prizes will be given
  3. Prizes will range from 50,000 BDT to 10,000 BDT
